Diacron’s platform, URL: diacron.com (hereinafter referred to as the “Site” or “Application”) complies with the following principles when processing Personal Information:

1. Your consent

Your use of the Site means that you agree to the terms of the Privacy Policy. If you communicate with us and provide us with personal information, we will assume that we can use that information to communicate with you. If you do not agree to any part of the Privacy Policy, please do not use the Site or communicate with us.

2. Purpose

This Privacy Policy applies exclusively to Personal Information that the Application collects through the Site or through any electronic communication that You send to the Application, as indicated on the Site (Personal Information). The Policy does not apply to third party websites, such as business partners or sponsors, to which the Site may be linked. The Application does not endorse the content, policies or practices of these third party sites and is not responsible for them.

If you provide any personal information to (or through) third party websites, the transaction will be subject to the terms, conditions, and privacy policies of those third parties.

3. What information we collect and how we collect it

The Application handles different types of data, all in accordance with current European legislation in the field of Data Protection. All data concerning the User are collected to allow the Owner to provide its services and for the following purposes: tag management, display of content from external platforms, statistical analysis, communication with the User, contact management and message sending, interaction with data collection platforms and with other third parties.

The Personal Data used for each purpose are highlighted in specific sections of this document.

Among the Personal Data that the Application collects, on its own or through third parties are: Cookies, usage data, first name, last name, email address, city and various other types of data.

Data provided voluntarily by the User – The web platform is designed to allow users to navigate through it without providing any contact information. However, some areas may require or allow the submission of personal information, such as when a user fills out a newsletter subscription form or makes a contact request to us. For example, users of the Application need to register to become part of the website community and use the solutions offered by the Application. The data collected and subsequently processed is necessary for accessing the Application, for communication or supplementary activities. Appropriate detailed information is provided to the User and, where required, consent to the processing of personal data is obtained before a given service is activated. Said consent can be revoked at any time, and consequently the possibility of using the service in question ceases.

Users are responsible for any third party Personal Data obtained, published and shared through this Application and confirm that they have the third party’s consent to provide the data to the Owner.

Cookies – Any Cookies – or other tracking tools – used by this Application, or by the owners of third party services used by this Application, are intended to provide the service requested by the User, in addition to other purposes described herein and in the Cookie Policy, if available.

4. Interaction with social networks and external platforms

This type of service allows us to establish interactions with social networks, or other external platforms, directly from the pages of this Application. The information acquired by this Application through this interaction is in each case subject to the User’s privacy settings in each social network. If a social network interaction service is installed, it is possible that, even if Users do not use the service, it may collect traffic data on the pages where it is installed. 5. Where and how the Data is processed

Location – The Application is provided through the web portal, whose servers are located in Ireland and provided by Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2). Amazon Web Services complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) https://aws.amazon.com/blogs/security/all-aws-services-gdpr-ready/.The Data is processed by the Data Controller’s operational office and wherever else the parties involved with the processing are located. Duration of processing – The Data are processed for the time necessary to perform the service requested by the User, or required by the purposes described in this document, and the User may always request the interruption of the Processing or the deletion of the Data.

Log Information – The software on our server collects general information from all users. For example: IP address, type of computer, screen resolution, operating system version, domain name, location, date and time of visit, pages viewed, time spent on a page, the user’s home website, the action taken by the user when leaving the Site. Some of this information is provided directly by the user’s browser, the remainder is obtained through cookies and tracking technologies.

Registration Information – Webinars and other events may be offered with the assistance of unaffiliated third-party vendors, which may require that the vendors have access to personal information, such as name, company, and email address. These suppliers will provide this information so that we can keep track of who registers or attends events. In this case, the information, which you provide as part of your registration, will be subject to both our Privacy Policy and that of the supplier’s website.

Children – The Site is not intended for children. The Application does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

6. How we use this information

The Application uses personal information as follows:

  • Fulfillment of requirements – We may use personal information to meet user research, to register for our events, and to send publications or documents requested by you.
  • Internal business purposes – We may use the information we collect for internal business purposes, such as audits or to track event attendance.
  • Site operations – We use cookies to assign a unique identifier to the User’s device.
  • Statistical analysis – We use aggregate data about Site usage (which does not identify the specific User), such as how many Users visited certain pages of the Site or how much time Users spent on a particular page, in order to develop usage statistics about our Site so that we can understand how Users interact with it and improve its content, products or services.

The Data Controller will process Users’ Data in an appropriate manner and will take appropriate security measures to prevent unauthorised access, visibility, unauthorised modification or destruction of Data.

Data processing is performed using computers and/or IT-enabled tools, following organisational procedures and practices strictly related to the stated purposes. The Data Controller processes the Users’ Personal Data by adopting appropriate security measures aimed at preventing unauthorised access, disclosure, modification or destruction of the Personal Data. The processing is carried out by means of computer and/or telematic tools, with organisational methods and logics strictly related to the purposes indicated. In addition to the Data Controller, in some cases, categories of people involved in the organisation of the site (administrative, sales, marketing, legal, system administrators) or external parties (such as third party technical service providers, postal couriers, hosting providers, IT companies, communication agencies) also appointed, if necessary, as Data Processors by the Data Controller, may have access to the Data. The updated list of Data Processors can always be requested from the Data Controller.

Compliance with Laws – We may use Personal Information or disclose it to any third party (a) if we believe we are required to do so by law; (b) to cooperate with legal process or respond to requests from public and government authorities; (c) to prevent, investigate, detect or prosecute criminal offences or attacks on the technical integrity of the Site or the network (d) to enforce our Terms and Conditions; or (e) to protect the rights, privacy, property, business and safety of the Application, its business partners, employees, members, users of the Site or the public interest. Unless prohibited by law, we will give appropriate notice if a third party requests access to your Personal Information.

8. Right of access and rectification

You have the right to access, correct and amend the Personal Information we hold about you, as defined in GDPR Articles 12, 15, 16. To do so, please contact us in the manner set out in section 16. However, in some cases the technical and administrative burden associated with retrieving stored data may be significant and subject to a fee in line with our current costs.

9. Right of deletion

10. Right to object

You have the right to object at any time to the processing of your Personal Data, for reasons related to a particular situation, as defined in GDPR, art. 21. All data provided to our website will only be used for the provision of services by the Application, as described in section 5. 11. Retention of information

We retain a User’s personal information for as long as is necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required by law and/or regulation. You may always request that the Data Controller suspend or remove the data.

12. Security

The Application takes commercially reasonable security measures consistent with industry practice to protect the Personal Information under its control against loss, misuse and alteration. However, we cannot guarantee the security of our servers, the means by which Personal Information is transmitted between your device and our servers, or any Personal Information we receive through or in connection with the Site.

We strive to achieve a reasonable balance between security and convenience. Emails are generally sent as unencrypted text. If routed incorrectly or intercepted, an unencrypted email can easily be read. If the matter requires high security or confidentiality, please keep us informed of the sensitivity of the information and do not send it by email.

13. Jurisdiction

The Application does not represent or warrant that the Site is appropriate or available for use in any particular jurisdiction. Those who choose to access the Site do so on their own initiative and at their own risk, and are responsible for compliance with any local laws, rules, or regulations applicable to them.

We may restrict access to the Site to any person, geographic area, or jurisdiction that we choose, in our sole discretion.

Unless and until you file an objection in writing by contacting us at info@diacron.com, all changes will apply to existing information that the application already maintains and Personal Information collected as of the effective date of the updated Privacy Policy. Your use of our Site after the effective date of any revision will signify your agreement to the terms of the revised Privacy Policy.
